Get to Know Us
Hi, I’m Ella. I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and have worked in NHS mental health services for nearly 14 years. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many women during pregnancy and the postnatal period, helping them navigate the emotional, psychological, and identity shifts that can come with becoming a parent. Since becoming a mum myself to two children, now aged 4 and 6, my passion for this work has deepened even further.
Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 12 years of experience working in NHS Talking Therapy Services, alongside being a mum to two beautiful children. I’ve worked with a wide range of mental health presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem, and I have a particular passion for supporting mums during the perinatal period. Since becoming a mum almost three years ago, I understand firsthand how emotionally complex and overwhelming this stage of life can feel.
About Serenity CBT
At Serenity CBT, we offer compassionate, evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to support you to reach your therapeutic goals.
We are two BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, offering a postnatal wellbeing group and individual CBT. We are dedicated to supporting individuals through various life challenges, particularly mums with children under 2 who are navigating early parenthood. We are passionate about providing effective, evidence-based therapy that supports emotional wellbeing, builds resilience, and helps people feel more like themselves again.
Experiencing pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood firsthand has given us a deeper understanding of just how transformative — and at times overwhelming — this stage of life can be. We know, both professionally and personally, that postnatal wellbeing isn’t about “coping better” or striving for perfection, but about feeling understood, supported, and equipped with compassionate, practical tools.
Our approach is warm, collaborative, practical and non-judgemental. Grounded in evidence-based CBT, we tailor our work to each individual’s needs, recognising that no two experiences of motherhood or other life experiences are the same. We are deeply committed to creating a safe space where individuals can speak openly, feel less alone, and build confidence in themselves.
