3. How long is the course?
Each session lasts 2 hours. The course runs for 6 weeks.
4. What is the group size?
The group is kept small and supportive, with a maximum of 12 participants. This ensures that everyone has space to share, ask questions, and receive personal support without feeling overwhelmed. There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable.
5. What happens during sessions?
Sessions are structured and practical, using evidence-based CBT tools and techniques that you can apply immediately to manage anxiety, improve mood, and build emotional resilience. The facilitators will guide you through each session with professional support and provide you with worksheets you can take home and apply straight away.

There is no pressure to share more than you wish to.
6. Who facilitates the course?
The course is co-led by Ella and Sarah, both BABCP-accredited CBT therapists, using evidence-based approaches to support emotional wellbeing. Having two therapists means they bring a broader range of expertise and professional guidance, while allowing them to deliver attentive support to ensure all participants feel fully supported throughout each session.
7. Is everything confidential?
Yes, the course is private and respectful. All participants are asked to respect confidentiality so that what is shared in the group stays in the group. We explain confidentiality clearly at the start, including the rare occasions we may need to seek additional support if someone is at risk.
8. Do I have to attend every session?
We strongly encourage attending all 6 sessions to gain the most benefit, as each week builds on the previous one. If sessions are missed, we can email out relevant documents and slides, but it is preferable to attend in person as key discussions and interactive elements will be missed. We understand that caring responsibilities can sometimes make attendance challenging.
9. Can I bring my baby?
Babies are welcome. Please bring anything needed for feeding or comfort. If you’d prefer, you can attend alone.
10. What do I do if my baby cries or needs attending to?
You're welcome to feed, change, or soothe your baby whenever you need to. We understand that babies cry, and that's completely normal. You don’t need to step out of the session, as we don’t want you to miss anything. However, if you prefer, we do have a small space where you can step out briefly if you'd like some privacy or a quiet moment. We're here to support you!
11. Do I need to share in the group?
No, you are not expected to share anything more than you feel comfortable with. The group focuses on psychoeducation, practical strategies, and learning tools to support your wellbeing. While there are opportunities to share experiences if you wish, participation is entirely voluntary, and you can simply observe or listen if that feels best for you.
12. Will this replace my individual therapy?
This depends on your individual care plan. For some women, the course complements individual therapy; for others, it may be the main support offered. Please speak to your therapist if you are unsure.
13. Is the course cost-effective compared to individual therapy?
Yes, the course is £35 for a 2-hour session, making it a more affordable option compared to individual therapy, which typically costs £70 for an hour.
